Live Arts

Live Arts is a community-driven hub for theater in Charlottesville, Virginia where children, teens and adults interested in performing arts can participate in workshops, youth programs, festivals and see shows during theater season. Live Arts’ contemporary box office, lobbies, classrooms, and performance spaces were designed by Bushman Dreyfus Architects and built by Alexander Nicholson.

The contemporary changes to the theater include a new box office,  branding wall, a lobby for every floor, a sky bar featuring locally harvested pecan wood and rolling doors, and fiber-optic lighting. A balcony was eliminated, and a monumental stair added.
