Historic Greenville

This Civil War-era estate home of 6,270 s.f. received a total renovation in 1999. Alexander Nicholson worked with Haywood Boyd Architects on the project. Extensive structural renovations included rebuilding floor systems and the unique “W” roof. Exterior brick columns were restored, and all mechanical systems were replaced. Interior restoration was comprehensive throughout the three-story structure. The project was honored with an Historic Restoration award from the Virginia chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
