Lochlyn

In 2023, Alexander Nicholson completed construction of Lochlyn, a new custom home in Keswick Estates. DGP Architects designed the home to blend European influences with traditional Virginian and Jeffersonian details. The five-part Palladian layout recalls 18th-century James River estates, while the main staircase crossing a front window references details from the University. Alexander Nicholson’s work spanned from the construction of the home in brick and standing seam, to the custom swimming pool and surrounding bluestone terrace, to a full landscaping package that consists of ornamental plantings, a dramatic driveway sweeping across the lot’s rolling hills, and a formal parking court in the front of the house.
